We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I went to see the new Sex and the City movie at Alamo Drafthouse with Emily on Saturday. It was long and pretty much as ridiculous as you'd expect - but it was entertaining. Juan played golf on Sunday morning and we cooked out in the evening and took a dip in the pool.
We had several friends over on Monday for a little pool party and cookout. We made some yummy kabobs with the best marinade ever (Webber Chipotle Marinade) and had some yummy 7 layer dip, veges, and strawberry rhubarb pie from Upper Crust. Yummmm! It was fun to hang out with our friends and their kids and just enjoy the start of summer.
The pool was the perfect temperature for splashing around. We put 6 tiki torches with citronella around our back yard to keep the mosquitoes away - they have been horrible this year! The baby swing was set up and the hammock was ready for lounging. Yay summer!!
Baby Reid is one of Ana and Javi's first friends. He is such a happy little dude!
Ana and Javi loved swimming. They did several laps around the pool (with a little tiny bit of assistance from mom and dad) and then retired to their floaty seats. Ana was very comfortable lounging in her seat and decided it was the perfect time for a little snooze. haha! Don't worry, I took them both inside and put them in clothes and put them down for a little evening nap.
We are so thankful to have such great friends!
